Modern 1BR w Pool Gym Steps to Beach Zodiak Stays

First time Airb&b users here.The apartment matched the listing photos. Unfortunately, the check-in process was so unnecessarily stressful, the lobby smell of human urine, swimming pool not working for weeks/reopening date as told by hotel staff, plus stating they weren't involved.We never received check-in instructions/key pickup/access codes/parking info.From arrival to entry/parking took almost 4 hours to gain entry.Because our US phones were not working, we relied on kindness of a nearby cafe staff who let us use a cell phone. After more than an hour waiting, we finally reached a woman (not the listed host, whom we never heard from).She stated access instructions were withheld because we had not provided unspecified “trip details.”We were then sent 4 blocks in heavy rain with luggage to retrieve keys from a 3rd party, only to face further delays.After returning in the rain, we still could not access parking and my husband spent over 10 minutes begging 4 those. Never again 😡

Lovely spot to stay, comfortable and in a great location. Spa pool was great although disappointing that the pool was closed. Would highly recommend!

Amazing views. Lovely apartment within a multi-level hotel complex. Great location and stunning amenities and eating options nearby. Beach within 8 mins walk. Good comfy couch and sitting / dining area. Bare minimum kitchen utensils but sufficient for our needs. We stayed 7 nights so the only downside for us was we felt the bed mattress and pillows could do with an update.

Pool wasnt open when we went and we werent notified of this. No spare linen/towels or toilet paper etc so bring your own if youre here for more than a couple of days. The place was small so wouldnt want to spend too much time there unless youre out and about all day everyday. Very impersonal experience considering we do airbnbs ourself and know the standard! Very disappointed with the amount of money spent. Only good thing was the view and the closeness to restaurants but having to do constant washing with towels and spend money on things that should have been provided for $250 per night was very frustrating! The pillows need replacing ASAP as theyre very deflated and used

Wonderful place to stay. Great views as the photos show. Arriving late was a little difficult with accessing the checkin instructions but responsive team at a tricky time of the day.

This is a lovely, tastefully furnished apartment with stunning views. The bed was super comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The kitchen was well-equipped, and having a washing machine and a dryer in the apartment certainly made our life easier. The designated parking space was a welcome bonus, as parking is expensive. There is also good, reliable public transport nearby. Takapuna is a great area, with everything you need (and more) on your doorstep. We did not meet Stefan in person, but he was very responsive and quick to reply. Great experience!

beautiful place in a gorgeous part of nz. the views were stunning, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. the pool and gym were very convenient, highly recommend the spa at night time to warm up. it was a wick walk to the beach in the morning to watch the sunrise and so many nice food spots close by.

We were so appreciative of our stay in such a fantastic space - it was safe and clean which was important with a small child. Outstanding views and a cozy and modern space. Stefan was a wonderful host and dealt with my queries kindly and quickly. Would 100% stay again!

Upon first entering, the property seemed peaceful, clean, and its location was just right for what I needed. However, the furnace did not seem to blow warm air, and so while sleeping, the room got down to 16C. After emailing, no one stopped by to fix it, even though I had approved to enter the unit. In the morning, when I discovered that the outlet was not working in the bathroom, so I could not use the hairdryer again, nobody stopped by to fix it.I use the rental for work so I was only there to sleep and change clothes. Upon check out. I was charged a maintenance fee for a missing vacuum charger that I never saw and definitely never used. Also, I live in the United States and would have no need for a New Zealand style plugged vacuum charger. while the management company did respond to emails, they took no action.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Beautiful view at any time of the day. Very homely and lovely place to be. Gorgeous space! My partner and I visited for a local work weekend, it was honestly perfect! If you’re looking for a place to stay on the shore, you’ve found it! We loved it so much we wanted to stay again on the last night but it was already booked - not surprised at all! We will definitely be back for our next work trip in the area. Thank you so much for the amazing experience!

The apartment was on the 13th floor with excellent views and in a good location. The description and photos were accurate and the accommodation was well presented, comfortable and in good condition. Amenities were as described and quite extensive. I would recommend that more than 2 cups be provided to save constant washing up and a dish rack be provided, but these are minor points.Overall, we enjoyed our lengthy stay.
