Gorgeous 2BR in Wynyard Quarter by Zodiak Stays

A very late change of holiday plans due to weather disruptions meant a city holiday decision was made. Stefan was super responsive to my late request and within 15hrs later we were checking into the apartment. A superb location with local restaurants and activities within easy walking distance. Well-appointed apartment and use of the spa and pool was fantastic. Only issue was having trouble getting the drier to work for the towels - but otherwise for my two pre-teens and I - it was a wonderful stay and we will be back. Hopefully soon!

The apartment is in a great location, right on the marina, with the theatre a stones throw away, close to restaurants and walking distance to the CBD. Yet also close to the broad-walks for a relaxing walk out to the harbour bridge. The apartment is very well appointed, clean, tidy and uncluttered. A relaxing spot to stay for a few days in Auckland.

I have been renting short-term apartments in the Viaduct/Wynyard area since 2008. I love the location. This unit however, is exceptionally noisy (see a few earlier reviews that mention this). It is on the main walkway from restaurants and bars, and is noisy at all hours. When you book, note that regardless of length of stay, they do not service the unit (nor do they provide any cleaning supplies so that you can clean the place yourself). I arrived after weeks of travel and needed a working washer & dryer, but the washer was broken. It took them a FULL week before they sent someone to look at it, then informed me it would not be possible to fix it during my 2.5 week stay. They ignored my request for a partial refund to compensate for the lack of advertised amenities. This management company has the "hospo" ultra-politeness down pat, while they ignore any issues or requests. I will continue to stay in this area, but never book a unit with this management agency again. Beware!

In the CBD but still pretty quiet, with a view looking out over the marina and the harbor beyond. Grocery store (a Countdown Metro, ie small format) literally across the street, which is great. Very nicely appointed.

This amazing place was just beautiful!!! The view of the Marina, the view of the city, the local precinct!! It was perfect!! The unit itself was amazing!! Location is amazing, right on the water, nice walks around the harbour. More restaurants than you will have time to try within 10 minutes all of them good. Plus bars and Museums. Everything else in Auckland is a bus ride or short Uber away. Apartment is well laid out, comfortable furniture. Good for a family with two kids. Kitchen well supplied. Pool, hot tub and sauna were a treat. Host responsive, checking a breeze.

We had a wonderful stay in Stefan's apartment. The apartment is very accurate to description and was very clean and organized. The Wynyard district is more quiet and has beautiful views of the bay. Even though the weather wasn't always the greatest we still thoroughly enjoyed the patio overlooking the harbor. Washer and drier was functioning and great to have for us as a family of four. Our only complaint was noise related. There is a new building being constructed across the road and the apartment next door is going through a full gut renovation. Our work is on US time which means we have to stay up until the early morning. This made it really difficult to be awakened at 7am by drilling and knocking next to our apartment. Of course the issue of noise is out of the renters control and it is our only complaint about the apartment. If it had been quieter our stay would have been perfect. We still look forward to returning when construction is done. Thanks!

This was our first foray into Air BnB and a hit on the first attempt. An absolutely lovely apartment in a great location and a super relaxed view over the marina - very short walk around the boardwalk to the viaduct, central train station and Queen Street from Wynyard Quarter but far enough away to be not worried about the noise of the waterfront bars. This is a great place for a stay in the Auckland CBD and especially if you're travelling, anything from just a night or 2 or a week or more - it has absolutely everything you need with a Metro Countdown just across the road too.

This was our second stay here as a family. We really like the location - close to town, waterfront, dining, playground etc. Easy to walk most places, but also very handy carpark that is easy to get in/out of. Kids love the pool and watching the boats. This time there was construction just over the road - quite noisy during the day. Without the construction there is not a lot of other noise for a city location. Minor issues with dishwasher and sliding door that host was responsive about getting looked at. We would stay again once the construction is finished. Thanks

Great place, well supplied and clean place, good amenities. The host is very responsive. The area is very beautiful, view from the balcony on the yacht harbor is amazing, better than on the abnb pictures. Nice harbor, walk nearby with bunch of hip restaurants. This changed our perception of Auckland completely, and for the better, compared to our previous experience in a hotel a week previously.

Excellent location around the water that is easy walking to several restaurants and bars. Beautiful area and great patio to sit out & enjoy the views of the water and boats in the wharf area. The apartment was clean and reflected the photos shown in the listing. Pool access and small gym available for workouts was a nice amenity to have. Downside was the noisy neighborhood as people walking by at all hours and loud street traffic made it impossible to get peace & quiet until after 3am most nights/early mornings. Apartment is very nice but the owners need to invest in improved / more comfortable (higher quality) bedding and pillows to be rated at 5-Stars or as a Super Host site. Solid 4-star site.

The apartment was perfect with amazing views of the viaduct inner harbour. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. It was great to have access to the pool and spa, gym area. The communication from the host was clear and timely and check in went smoothly with someone there to meet us, to ensure we could find the right car park (parking in the area is expensive so this is a huge bonus) and get us all set up. The location is ideal for easy walks to downtown Auckland and restaurants and shops all close by. Given the kitchen in the apartment a metro supermarket across the road is ideally located. This is a wonderful property we will definitely use again - fabulous experience from booking to check out.

We spent the last 2 great nights of our trip home visiting our NZ family & friends at Stefan’s place. Right down on the Viaduct Marina. Amazing views. Very modern clean 2 bedroom, 2 bath place. Main bedroom and then 2nd room with 2 single-beds (perfect for our 2 kids). A lovely 10 min walk along the Marina to all the Viaduct restaurants and cafes. Perfect stay. Location’s building has an included small gym (stationary bike, elliptical, 2 treadmills, cable weight rack/bench, dumbbells, exercise balls and mats). Would recommend and stay here again. Host wanted to cancel my booking on the morning of my stay due to a concern on a feedback. Wanted an explanation. These things shouldn’t be a last minute change of mind. Was very stressed and anxious. The check in process was very difficult. Having to message Someone to meet outside . Texting back and forth. All the picture ID of every guest etc. had to also be sent. The apartment itself is in a beautiful location and clean but the messaging throughout the whole stay was not worth it for a 2 night stay. Disappointed.

Stefan and his team were amazing! Very accommodating given our changing flight situations! Response time was always quick!! Apartment is gorgeous on the harbor in CBD. Close to many shops, restaurants and bars. Would highly recommend!

A beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Spotlessly clean and with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We loved it. Excellent communication from our host. Definitely will be back.

The check in went smoothly, the place was greatly positioned. A lovely view. Great pool. No air in but the fans works well. A bit noisy in the morning with early runners/commuters and the louvers outside got a bit noisy in the high winds. However, the dryer wasn’t working and I spent too long trying to get it sorted. Felt like I was being accused of not being to operate a dryer. The incinerator was also not working along with the main door into the building. I accidentally left my son’s new lunchbox in the dishwasher and this also mysteriously disappeared. A real shame considering the cost of the rental. A premium price but needing better care and attention.
