While the apartment was tidy and communication with the host was fine, the listing was misleading. It was advertised as a three-bedroom but was far smaller than expected. There was also a noticeable smell from the sofa, and the rug was worn and ragged.

We have problems to connect the Wi-Fi but other aspects of the accommodation is very good.

Had issues with the wifi wasn’t the correct one we were given . An we didn’t get the correct one till day 2 off our stay . The shower was clogged with lots of hair and build up an the water wasn’t draining . The couch was really stained an dirty . An the decorative pillows had big noticeable stains on it . Some one the pillows on the bed smelt of some one else previously sleeping on the an stunk quite bad . There was some black hairs on the bed an duvet . The apartment is very small can’t really walk around without bumping into something but for two or three people may be ok . We were only given two rolls of toilet paper for 5 people over 4 days ! An were declined when we asked for one more on the 4th day .

The apartment was clean, and though small, was comfortable for 3 academics. The shower was great! Our big problem was communication. We were given only one set of keys, which we picked up from a store clerk at a dairy two blocks away. Once in the apartment the wifi login and password given did not work. We messaged the host who told to reboot the router (didn't work) and then that they'd get back to us. After an hour with no response, I discovered I could use the QR code on the bottom of the router to login (not the same login or password we were given). The next day, we asked for another set of keys, and were told they'd get back to us. They never did. Finally, on checkout we received an automated message asking us to please post a 5 star review, and if we were not happy to email them instead. Given that they had already ignored our previous emails, we think a public review is more appropriate.

Regarding the key situation — unfortunately, a previous guest had misplaced a set, and we didn’t have a backup available during your stay. We understand how frustrating that was, and since then, we’ve added an additional set of guest keys. As for the Wi-Fi, there was an error in our system that displayed incorrect login details. Great place to stay, perfect for a weekend in Auckland. Exactly what you see in the photos. Please note to take pics of the property on arrival, we were very dissapointed that we were requested to pay more for old stains on the carpet.
