Fabulous two bedroom house in the heart of Ponsonby! Light filled main bedroom and kitchen/living areas made for cosy mornings at home. Easy to pop out for public transport, cafes and restaurants.

Beautiful, authentic house steps from Ponsonby. The house provided plenty of space for our family of four, and the dedicated parking spot was very helpful in a busy part of town. The location was perfect to explore the shops, dine and get down to the city center with a short walk. Highly recommended.

Modern space and comfy beds. Vibrate and convenient inner city living. Houses are very close together so there’s loud neighbour activities, but I didn’t mind. Not much road traffic and good to have a car park. \nIf you’re into cooking you won’t find any pantry essentials, not even oil or salt and pepper (there were a couple s&p sachets). I let Stefan know that a salad bowl would be a good thing to add to kitchen. \nOthers have warned about the steep internal stairs. All good if fit and able. No air conditioning and there was no BBQ as seen in photos.

Great place - Private, Quiet, offstreet parking - Super close (but not too close) to Ponsonby Road which is amazing for restaurants and bars etc

The place is lovely. Simple, open plan layout. Clearly has been renovated recently. Parking (that's huge in this location) and extremely well located too. Two minutes walk to all Ponsenby has to offer. Stefan and team were very responsive and helped me out within minutes on two occasions.

This is a great house in a great location for Ponsonby Road. House was clean and comfortable. Reason for average review was that we actually stayed here on 3 separate occasions. On the first we notified the host that the bbq was missing. He kept telling us he’d look into it but nothing happened. When we checked in for the second time still not there and same on third time. Disappointed as we had planned to have a couple of bbq evenings when we were there. So lots of communication saying let us know if there is a problem but when we did nothing was done. Also the kitchen does need more dishes. Constantly having to wash plates as we quickly ran out. I’d still recommend this property but don’t expect a bbq or the best cookware.

This is a great city Air B&B close to Ponsonby road which has lots of bars and cafes. Although very central it felt quite quiet and secluded. Very clean and comfortable with great amenities. Super comfy bed which is great after you’ve flown half way around the world. Only negative was that there was a bbq listed but it wasn’t there. Not a problem this time but I have two other stays booked here on our trip. Really hope Stefan gets this sorted for when we are back next. Would be nice to be able to cook and eat outside as the weather is good.

Lovely house, great location, walking distance to the main strip. Easy to travel to CBD. Stairs are steep but we got use to them.

house is very old and creaky, very noisy when walking around. neighbors very close and lots of noise from the area. stairs at rear and inside house are very steep and dangerous. house smelled a bit musty and the deck needed a good clean and garden needed doing. Fabulous location with tons of amazing restaurants and close to the zoo etc.

Great location and well designed. The only thing which i would recommend is heavier curtains in one room as it was extremely light in the morning and difficult to sleep in. Also no power point in bathroom but otherwise all good thanks team.

Stefan was a great host, always responded quickly and when I left a set of car keys at the place, they made sure to get me the keys back over the weekend when the office was closed. Pretty awesome. The house itself was small, cozy and from a different era. Restored tastefully, but I am a sucker for Auckland villas. Beds were great! Kitchen was great but a bit lean on some of the basics. The neighborhood is about as good as it gets for city living. Close enough to walk to loads of cafes and restaurants, just far enough not to hear the noise. One note: the stairs leading to the second floor are a bit funky. I don’t recommend for elderly, infirm or small children. Highly recommend overall for all others!

Cute cottage in a quiet street very close to Ponsonby Road. Off street parking was convenient. Great find. Some might want to know the stair to the top floor is a little steep but has a safe sturdy banister. we loved this place and definitely recommend.

My friend and I had a great eight days at the lovely house. It was very comfortable and so close to fabulous restaurants, cafes and transport. The old gas heater wasn't working the first night but a blow heater was delivered the next morning. The only thing we found difficult was a steep internal staircase that we feel would be unsuitable for the elderly, anyone with mobility issues or parents with a baby or toddler. Apart from that, a great stay thanks!

We are very disappointed because of the unhelpfullness of the host. We booked the night before we arrived so that we could check in very early at 8.30am (no complaints about this). When we arrived the house was freezing. We tried to turn on the dodgy looking gas heater by the front door that we could not get to work but this alone would not have warmed the house so we went to start a fire but there was no wood. Then started a back and forth with someone who kept saying they would get the team onto it. They came back to us a few hours later to say we had to buy our own wood. They never instructed us on how to use the gas heater, it was just sorry buy your own wood. It was when we complained to Airbnb, who said they had to supply wood that they did, though they were only going to give us enough for 1 night. We ended up with enough for two nights (at 5.30pm) so we had to spend $120 for the next 3 nights because we didn't want to argue anymore. Also there were a couple of cockroaches.

Beautiful home a few minutes walk from Ponsonby road, great cafes and restaurants. Nice quiet street, though on Saturday night we could hear loud music for a couple of hours. House was immaculate with backyard and entertaining area plus well equipped kitchen. Worth pointing out that it did get a bit cold and the one heater downstairs wasn’t quite enough to warm the space up. The stairs are also very steep, so it was tricky carrying our large suitcases up to the rooms as well as our baby. I would be worried about young children using the stairs. Aside from this would definitely recommend.

Fantastic location. Wonderful cafes and restaurants highly recommend. Just a heads up the bedrooms and bathrooms are located upstairs if you have issues with your knees the stairs are quite steep when you come down there is a railing otherwise 100% the place to stay

We loved our stay. The house is in a great location, just a short walk from all the best shops and bars in Ponsonby whilst remaining peaceful and private. The place is clean and spacious with a lovely outdoor area!
