Beautiful and Spacious 1BR in CBD by Zodiak Stays

We had a great stay. The apartment was as described and had everything we needed. The bedroom is spacious and the living area welcoming. Stefan was very responsive and helpful. The building has a fab pool area which is a great selling point. And walkable to the harbour and local restaurants in the city centre. Great stay!

We booked Stefan's place a 2nd time because we liked it so much. Unfortunately Stefan canceled our reservation only a few hours before check-in, without explaining why. He offered alternatives but they were not comparable. Fortunately we did get a full refund, but it was quite stressful to arrive and have to book a new place. Review from our visit Sept 2024, which went well: We loved the spaciousness of this apartment. It was a great place to spend a month in Auckland. Great location - easy to walk for anything we needed. A few things are a little bit worn, but overall the apartment felt good, and it really is bigger than the photos suggest. The bedroom has a door (unable to see by the photos) and is large. The bed was big and firm, the most comfortable we've found among Airbnb we've been to. The kitchen is small but was perfectly fine for everyday cooking. It felt lucky to find such a spacious place in the hotel. The hotel pools & gyms are really handy too, and never too crowded.

We're genuinely devastated that we had to cancel your recent reservation, and we're very sorry for the stress this caused. Unfortunately, a serious maintenance issue arose just before your arrival. A leak from the unit above caused damage to the ceiling in our apartment, and for health and safety reasons, it simply wasn’t safe to host anyone. We were holding out hope that the repairs would be completed in time, but frustratingly, the work was delayed due to red tape and factors completely out of our control. We understand how disappointing and inconvenient this was, especially given how much you enjoyed your previous stay, and we’re truly sorry the alternatives we offered didn’t match the original apartment. We’d absolutely love the opportunity to welcome you back under better circumstances in the future. Thank you again for your thoughtful review and for your understanding.

The apartment is large and nice, matched the photos. Location near Sky Tower, decent area, historic Farmer’s Bldg. Washing machine manual was not the correct one, wasted an hour finding it myself after Stefan and team assured me repeatedly they linked to the right one (hopefully they update their link w what I sent). Trash location instruction was wrong, finally ran into a bldg maintenance guy after the owner’s team ghosted me. Ok stay, just wasted time messaging owner team.

When you arrive in Auckland by plane then this apartment has got the perfect location because the bus from the airport just stops 100 m from the apartment and the apartment is just five minutes walk from the ferry terminal at the harbour. It is really very spacious with nice furniture. But what really stood out is the easy and always helpful communication with the host Stefan. Highly recommended!

A decent and comfortable place to stay, but in dire need of renovation. There's broken furniture, teared curtains, and missing kitchenware. It was a major inconvenience not to have an access card per adult (despite having requested this), as cards are required to get anywhere in the building, including operating the elevator.

Stefan's apartment at the Heritage Hotel was perfect for a city-living experience in Auckland! The kitchen was fully stocked with any appliance/cookware you could need to make meals, and the dishwasher and range were easy to use. The living and dining areas were furnished beautifully, and the bedroom was so spacious with plenty of hanging wardrobe options. Within walking distance were plenty of restaurants, convenience and grocery stores, retail shops, and a couple pharmacies. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in Auckland!

We really like the location and ammenities at the Heritage building. Initial impressions of this property was good. It is large and light and bright. We had a 6 night stay here. We found and reported a few minor maintenance issues and we felt that the kitchenware was lacking for self catering by comparison to other apartments we have stayed in. Towards the end of our stay we both felt like there hadn’t been a lot of thought or effort put into the set up. A property book with appliance instructions and building information would be very helpful. The property manager responded quickly to questions.

A fabulous apartment, what a huge bedroom with a very comfy King bed. Loved the apartment, I’ve stayed in a lot of apartments in Auckland but there was something so nice about this space the high ceilings, so light and open. Will def. Be my 1st choice of stay next time. We felt right at home and it super convenient with only minutes walking down town.

The apartment is central and generously-sized with easy access. The bed is large and there's a comfortable seating area. The access to the hotel rooftop swimming pool and gym facilities was a real bonus. It's about a half-hour walk from the apartment to K Road and 15 minutes down to the Wynyard Quarter for dinner. The apartment managers were helpful in retrieving the keys that we accidentally left behind us.

Pro: 1. Perfect location 2. Good sized place 3. Really good mattress, which can be tricky haha Cons: 1. Managed by a company, so takes the personalisation away 2. Extra charge (30$) for 30 mins late check in our check out, felt outrageous 3. Wifi had some issues but got fixed after day 2

This is a great place. I have stayed in downtown Auckland several times. Everywhere else I have stayed has been very loud on the weekends until late at night. This place was wonderfully quiet while still being an easy walk to all of the downtown amenities. The apartment was large and comfortable. Good hot water and water pressure. It had all of the basics needed for cooking, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and very nice apartment… This is a hotel… you deal with a 3rd party company and that requires doing documentation forms signed prior and photos of your id’s for everyone before they tell you the keys for the apartment are 5 blocks away (drive there) and there’s no parking which requires to find a parking garage because all street parking is normally taken, so you need to download an app (ParkMate) and find a parking garage close by and pay by the hour… 2 days cost about $80.. So, having said all that the place is nice, There’s a lap pool, sauna and jacuzzi on the 2nd floor along with a weight room… that made it worth the hassle of checking in and parking… I would stay here again!!

This apartment was a beautiful home away from home for a couple of nights, nice and warm for our wintry weekend in the city, beautiful spacious living area and bedroom too. Kitchen is well-stocked with cutlery and crockery, and the location is nice and central but soundproof windows mean it’s a cosy hideaway and you hardly hear any of the city noise. We would love to come back again
