1BR Urban Escape by Zodiak Stays

This is not a place for you if you have claustrophobia . Place is smaller than expected and only paid parking is available. The bathroom wasnt clean and toiler paper holder was broken , when we informed the host about it, they rather started questioning us instead of confirming it with their maintenance team first. The rug under the bed was a huge safety hazard, i tripped twice over it and hurt myself. Pics attached. The ceiling had some sort of hole, may be a water sprinkler hole with tissues stuffed in it, again a hazard. The apartment had bees flying in it when we entered. Please be careful and dont just rely on online pics like we did. Quite disappointed

Very good spacious clean apartment. Really close to the main attractions in the city centre, great location. Would highly recommend! Really enjoyed our stay.

Stefan’s place is very comfy, cosy,clean and welcoming. It has everything you need, a well stocked kitchen, very clean bathroom and a comfy bed. It is very secure and was quiet. The centre of the city is just 15 mins walk, and there are a myriad of restaurants and coffee shops. We were very comfortable during our short stay.

The apt itself was fantastic. Super clean and tidy and all the amenities you need. Big comfy bed and lovely bathroom. Great to have the added bonus of gym and pool but would have been good to have a bit more info about the use of these. Unfortunately the aircon/ceiling fans didn’t work which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night in an Auckland summer. We would definitely stay again

DO NOT STAY HERE. They gave me two sets of contradictory check-in instructions which took me to a place a 15 minute walk away from the actual property. The property manager was extremely unhelpful and did not attempt to make any amends for providing false information. I requested they send an Uber to take me to the correct location, as I had my luggage with me; they ignored me. When I asked what they would do to make this right, they ignored my messages. They implied they had done nothing wrong by providing false information. They implied I was stupid for following the check-in information provided on AirBnB, which explicitly told me to pick up a key from a different location. When I repeatedly asked HOW this could happen in the first place, they ignored my question and did not respond. Every. Single. Time. When they sent a message asking if I was settling in ok, I stated that I was still awaiting answers from them. Predictably, they did not reply. Awful experience, my worst AirBnB.

We had a great mini break at Stefan's apartment. Great location with a tonne of bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The apartment is well designed, clean and tidy, and has everything you need. Stefan's communication is excellent. Would recommend as a good option for an Auckland stay.

Lovely spot in central Auckland. Apartment was lovely and perfect for a couple. However was difficult to get in after the key wasn’t in lock box. We could not contact the host, requested call backs and in the end had to contact Airbnb internationally. Took us two hours to finally get in.

Great stay, fairly walkble to most thing if you don't mind the slight incline! Clear instructions, fair price point for the stay. Just be weary that room is situated in front of the apartment building’s rubbish room so can sometimes get noisy in the morning.

It says to go to Zodiac to pick up key which is false. The key is actually on the property. Tried calling the host multiple times and messaging and he never responded. Neighbours were very loud and partying the whole weekend. Only one towel each was provided for 3 nights. Disappointing stay

We apologise for the lack of communication and any inconvenience it caused; we strive to be responsive and make check-ins as easy as possible. Regarding the towels, we mention in the listing that a set of towels are provided for each guest and extras can be delivered for a fee. There is also the option of using the washer and dryer available in the apartment if you would like fresh towels without the fee. It's a shame that the neighbours disturbed you. This place was so worth the money for CBD. The place was clean and such a nice space. However, the location felt a little bit uneasy and the neighbours were loud.

・良かったこと セキュリティがしっかりしていて安心感がありました。立地が良く坂を下ると街の中心部にアクセスできる上、アパートの裏側は公園になっていて、遊具もあるので子供を遊ばせることができます。キッチンには必要なものが多すぎず少なすぎず揃えてありとても便利に使えました。キッチンペーパーがあるのが便利でした。寝具はキレイで寝心地も良く快適でした。 ・気になったこと 部屋の入り口のドアが厚くないので防音性があまりないですが、他の住人もそれほどうるさくなかったので、許容できました。暖房設備はエアコンがなくオイルヒーターのみのため、やや肌寒かったです。このあたりは人によるかもしれません。 ありがとうございました！

Stefan’s apartment was fantastic, just like the photos. The living room was spacious with a lovely view of the park—very relaxing. The kitchen was roomy and super practical. Overall, the layout was well thought out, making great use of space and light with the kitchen openings and large windows. It was very functional and within walking distance of everything. Communication with Stefan was easy and quick. We’ll happily come back and highly recommend it.

Sensational host, Stefan and the team were very responsive, accommodating for changes to my booking and respectful of my privacy. I had to extend my stay twice at short notice and Stefan maintained exceptional communication. Beautiful, spotless apartment with comfortable bed and great wifi. Floor to ceiling windows overlooking Myers Park was a bonus. I also felt very safe as security was spot on.

The host company pursued to fill their own-form pre check-in and pre check-out process. And they didnt send the exact process for check in until i asked 2hr prior to check-in time. it was confusing and stressful. Otherwise the property was good.

After arriving at first location, and finding the office to collect keys eventually, we got to suite to find the kitchen under water and the fridge not working. It took hours to get a resolution on this by which time we had cleaned up the mess. We were offered this place as an alternative, and as compensation they put the price of this one up to match the original place. Hardly compensation for the complete inconvenience caused. However as I was in town to play a benefit concert we had little alternative. Never once saw Stefan, or actually got any feeling that he cared. This was not a great experience and we will not use this host again. We found the whole thing insulting really.

Thanks for staying with us Michael and for your review. We apologise that the fridge in the first apartment you booked had stopped working just before your arrival. We did our best to resolve the issue as soon as possible but unfortunately we were unable to fix the fridge that evening as it was late in the evening when reported. However, we did replace it the next day and provided an alternative accommodation for your trip as you did not want to continue your stay in the original apartment. Despite the start to the trip, we hope you enjoyed your time in Auckland and the alternative apartment itself.

A clean and handy apartment with a nice view of Myers park. Check in was easy enough. You do need to pick up the keys first but it's more or less on the way if you're coming from Britomart. All in all a comfortable place to stay in the city.

Did not quite keep up to its promise as the inhouse swimmingpool which is undoubtedly one of the attractions of this property was not fully functional (broken jetstream). A reading light at the bedside would have been nice (just a suggestion for improvement). I appreciated that attempt of the property manager to communicate in the best possible way but at the end felt slightly inondanted with emails, some of which did not add anything new.
