Open plan living in the heart of Auckland

Recommended. The location is very central in the CBD. It can get a little noisy a night but it’s the location, so if you want quiet go to the country. The apt was one of the best equipped i have used, and i have used a lot. I will use Kodiak again as it’s very professional and I always felt I had support if I needed it. Thanks Stefan for sharing this great apt.

Falsely advertised a king bed instead of a queen mattress. Sends you to an external website to collect sensitive informations. Keys to check in are not located on the unit but in an office 10 min away. When confronted about the mattress, the host maintained i was wrong. Had to go buy a measuring tape to prove it to him. Then he offered a 20% discount or that he would relocate me to an other unit with a king size bed. in the end he “didn’t have an other unit to offer me”… Host fell silent when we talked about reimbursing the stay. I had to call Airbnb to make a claim.

While the place was nice and in a good location, I was unable to access the property on the first night of my stay due to the key not being left in the lock box. I had a delayed flight and warned them of the late arrival and I was assured I would be able to get the key at anytime. After arriving at 3:30am, I was unable to get the key and was told that I could check into a hotel and be reimbursed but every hotel was booked leaving me with nowhere to sleep. Once I got into the apartment on the second night, the smoke alarm was out of battery so I had to deal with it beeping all night as well.

We loved this location for our visit to Auckland. It was a short walk to the ferry terminal, and many great local restaurants and bars. It’s also easily accessible from the train station.

I had an excellent stay here. The location is as central and walkable as it gets being right down the street from Britomart Station, and the apartment itself felt very spacious and homely. Compared to other Airbnbs I've stayed at in Auckland, I found the kitchen to be particularly well equipped. I wasn't wanting for more utensils or larger cookware, which was really nice. The main drawback, being in the middle of downtown, is of course the street noise; whatever is happening on Queen Street, you will hear it - day or night. But that's something that just comes with the convenient location. I also found the window curtains to be quite hard to open or close, to the point where I stopped using them. But overall, I found this stay to be particularly high value for money, so much so that I extended my stay here longer than originally intended. I would absolutely recommend staying here to a solo traveler or couple looking for a pure experience of downtown Auckland for several nights.

Only a short walk to the train station. Many cafés and restaurants around. In the apartment is everything you need, when your staying for a few days I would book it again if I visit Auckland again

Had great stay at Stefan's place for 3 nights. Nice and comfortable some great extras like Netflix. Not really any pros or cons but if there is any street noise closing the bedroom doors takes it all away and it was super quiet. plenty of space and having a decent couch to sit on was great. check in was easy despite having to go somewhere else as parking is terrible in the city. I found the best park was the ANZ tower but had to call Wilson parking for my bookings as parkmate wasn't working. Overall was a good pleasant stay right in the thick of it all and close by to all food outlets. Melba is a must for coffee or breakfast

Great central place to stay. Didn't love having to walk a few blocks with all our luggage once we had picked the key up in a different spot, although we were warned the key wasn't on location in one of the many messages. Very clean, nice building with lots to do within walking distance.
