Easy check in,clean when I arrived, looked out onto the pool and nice view, good communication, no problems with apartment itself, although the walls are slightly thin so you can hear neighbours coughing but that’s not hosts fault that’ll be due to the building itself but no biggie, no parking there

Really clean and tidy, nice and close to Takapuna beach - a little bit noisy due to shared building and neighbours: but when the bedroom glass doors were shut it sound proofed the bedroom.

Convenient location to Takapuna and grocery store. Great amenities and had everything needed. It is run by a property management company so is missing the personal feel of some hosts but they were very responsive to any questions.

Really enjoyed my stay. The location was great for an event I had nearby. The apartment complex was safe and clean and close two supermarkets and easy walking distance to restaurants. The apartment had everything I needed and was spotlessly clean - I thought it was fantastic and would definitely stay here again.

The lock box to find the key is pretty hidden on an adjacent lot under some tree branches. Other than that it's a great location, nice apartment, easy walk to all the shops, beach etc.

Lovely apartment in Takapuna, close to all amenities and easy access to public transport. Very clean and spacious one bedroom. The check in process was easy and straightforward, host was very responsive through messages and super nice!

The overall is not bad, the bright spot is that the surrounding area is very convenient. It is very close to supermarkets, gas stations, the beach, and various restaurants. It only takes 20 minutes to go to the city center by bus. The disadvantage is that the room is small, and the vacuum cleaner in the room is broken and has not been replaced. Everything else is fine. What is particularly commendable is that we left Auckland early, and the landlord refunded the remaining fees very quickly, which made us feel very nice. Friends who are suitable for short-term travel

Was a nice easy place to stay while our house was flooded. The best thing was the location, takapuna rocks. Nice and clean, felt safe and the pool was super nice.

I didn't have the chance to stay or use my booking because of the weather conditions forced me to cancel my trip and my accommodation. Stefan provided full refund for my booking even when the cancellation policy only would allow for a 40% approx. refund, many thanks for that. cheers

We arrived at the property late in the evening and couldn’t open the lockbox, despite several attempts at trying. So we had to stay in a hotel the first night and there was no offer to refund us for the first night. On top of this, the fridge did not work which they knew about before our arrival but chose to replace it whilst we were there, which was inconvenient. A bit of a letdown all in all

I had a great stay in Stefan’s apartment. It is brand new and only a 7 minute walk from Takapuna Beach. The bed is comfortable and the apt has a nice view over a large green bowling lawn. There is also a 15m pool if you want to have a swim. I recommend this place

Excellent location, quiet, close to beach, shops, cafes & parks in Takapuna. Apartment was very comfortable, lovely & warm in the cool weather, with superb facilities & heated pool a bonus. Only trouble we had was on check-in & with communication at check-in after-hours.

This is a great location! Practically anything you could want to do is within walking distance. The Shore City Mall with a small New World, Hurstmere with its shops, restaurants and cafes, and the beach are in one direction. In the other direction, is a nice, large Countdown. The apartment itself can take two people and it's a bit smaller than it seems in the pictures. It's perfect for a stay of a couple of weeks -- especially if you will be going out quite a lot. The building is VERY secure. You need the keycard to enter the building, use the lift and even open the doors on the stairs. There is a washer/dryer combo machine and a drawer dishwasher. They take a bit of time to wash --especially the washer/dryer, so plan your time, and clothing, accordingly. They were both very convenient to have the use of! The bathroom is a comfortable size and the shower has good pressure. There is air conditioning if it gets too hot. There's no heater. For a longer stay, it was a bit tricky. There's only one keycard. If one person wants to go out with it, the other is completely locked out (or inside) of the building. It also meant only being able to order delivery when the person with the keycard was in since we had to meet the delivery person downstairs/outside of the building. (As I said, the stairwell doors and lift don't work without the keycard.) The kitchen is small with only one counter (decent-sized) and that contains the toaster and kettle, so there isn't much prep space if you're having a longer stay and would like to save money by cooking. There wasn't a microwave when we arrived, but we bought one and it's still there, so it should be all fine now :-) There was also a bit of an issue with the cleanliness as well. Things were neat, but someone left a very dirty mug in the cupboard, there was hair on the bedroom floor (and a clump), and there was a thick layer of dust under the couch, for example. Now knowing the situation, hopefully the host will sort things out with the cleaning company. :-) TL;DR: The location is amazing -- and extremely central. The apartment is smaller than it looks, but good for 2 people. It's perfect for a stay of a couple of weeks. It's very safe and secure, but not being able to operate doors to the stairs and the lift without a keycard can be inconvenient -- especially for deliveries or separate plans. The kitchen is okay, but on the small side with only one counter that's shared by appliances -- not that convenient for proper cooking during a long stay in my opinion. The place also wasn't quite clean when we arrived -- but I have high hopes that the host will sort that out with their cleaning service soon.

The location was great and the management team responded very quickly to our messages. However, we did run into a few hurdles during check in. Checking In: - Early check in (earliest being at 12pm) will cost you an extra NZD30 - We’d asked for early check in at the site, but the night before check in, we were informed that the lock box wasn’t working and that we had to get the key from Auckland CBD. Since we were already in the CBD at that moment, we asked for the instructions the day before to pick up the key but we were told no and had to - We ended up having to go to Auckland that morning to get the key. When we arrived and open the lock, we noticed the key number did not match the instructions so we gave them a call to find out that they had given us the wrong lockbox number. - We were offered a refund for the cost of early check in which is appreciated. Management team did not process it right away so we had to remind them to process it The accommodation: - Mostly what we had expected as you can see from the photos - Perhaps the last time cleaning was done was some time ago because we did find cob webs and the floor to be dusty - The WiFi password wasn’t in the information pack that was sent to us so we had to ask them separately what it is - There are no trash bags on-site so you will need to bring your own I also found it odd that we were asked to specify what time we would be checking out. The latest check out time in 10am but we were asked to mark when we would check out. I am appreciative of how responsive the host and the management team is but I do think the process needs to be improve to make things easier for the guests.

I recommend staying here if you require a modern, clean and uplifting studio apartment on the North Shore. The highlight is the view of the pool, croquet fields, sunset/sunrise, harbour bridge and sailing boats on the Waitemata harbour in the distance. All I needed to be comfortable was provided while focussing on a busy week at work - the combined washing machine/dryer, dishwasher and heated towel rail were much appreciated luxuries. The pool is superb and I was able to keep my bicycle in a secure area next to the pool. Tip: the parking lot next door is expensive, there are side streets nearby where parking is available for free. Bonus: there is a wee freezer space at the top of the fridge to store an icy treat ;) The process of the stay put me at ease by the excellent communication and organisation by the host :)
