Just Opposite to Sky tower 2 Bed 2 Bath in CBD

Great place and location, especially for someone who plans to go to the sky tower. a 2-minute walk away from the sky-tower. Parking was not available with this place, although there was a ‘Secure Parking’ located right outside for around $45 for 2 whole days, on Federal Street, which was right across from the hotel door - therefore very convenient. There was also a coffee club, 1-minute walk away so breakfast was great. Due to the access of the sky-tower, parking, and breakfast, I think it is worth the price.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Stefan is responsive and the place is very clean. The location is great i could see the sky tower from the window. The only negative thing is that you have to pick up the keys at a different location. So if you have a lot of luggage, it’ll be a hassle to lug it around the city to pick up the keys, then back to the airbnb. Other than that, I’d recommend this place.

A really great little apartment. Two bedrooms and bathrooms was a great find for us. Fantastic views, clean and an easy walk to everywhere. Host was always on hand to answer questions. No complaints, only good things to say about this property.

Check in was like an epsiode of the crystal maze - had to go to two differnt buildings 400m apart, 3 differnt rooms and several doors and locks with combinations. Not easy after 36 hours of travel and 3 pieces of baggage. The accommodation is a little tired with holes in the plaster and svereal draws to the furniture broken. There is very little room to unpack clothing and make yourself feel at home.

The apartment is ideally situated across from the sky tower however there's alot of major road closures due tocity upgrade which made it very hard to get there, the apartment itself does offer some amazing views from its balcony however the apartment itself was very small the bedrooms were ridiculously tiny and didn't provide enough room to even walk around the bed without touching the walls! the ensuite was even smaller making you feel claustrophobic when the door is shut. The lounge was a nice size though. The apartment had holes in the walls, broken furniture, grubby hand prints all over the walls, doors, windows, light switches, there was marks all over the floors and the floors were sticky throughout. I found communication from the host to be a little intrusive and excessive having received 6 automated messages reminding me that I needed to be out by 10am, I found it to be quite harassing and annoying. We couldn't access pool or gym despite listing advertising that we could

The unit itself is fantastic, practical, and was a great staging spot for whatever I got up to in the city and beyond. Would book again if the price remains as reasonable as it was this time!

Maybe we started off on the wrong foot because our luggage was lost. We had to go to a separate location to pick up our keys. It was hot and we waited for an hour for the key to arrive in the lockbox. Stefan said he thought we were arriving later but the posting clearly said the keys would be in the lockbox by 3:00 pm. Since our luggage was lost, we needed to wash our clothes. The door to the washing machine came open and flooded the bathroom and the connected bedroom. We used all the towels to clean up the mess. Stefan was quick to respond but his response was that he could do nothing. He was short of help. We had no towels for 2 days. The location was good in that it was close to many things but it was grimy. Many closed stores, litter and homeless people. I did not feel comfortable going out after dark. We were so looking forward to this visit. We ended up having a good time no thanks to Stefan.

I struggled with this rating because the apartment is in a good location (across from Sky Tower and walkable to the harbour), has a fantastic view of the bridge and Auckland skyline, and comfortable beds. Unfortunately, the apartment is tiny, particularly the bedrooms. One bedroom can’t have night tables because it’s so small and moving the bed inhibits the door from closing. Further, there was a broken, unusable dining chair, heavily stained couch (that really felt too dirty to sit) and the rest of the furniture and appliances felt cheap for the cost. Finally, washing machine opened mid-cycle, spilling water all over the bathroom floor. We had to hold it shut for the last 15 minutes of the cycle. The worst part is that these deficiencies were known by the host and not disclosed. This is an apartment in serious need of maintenance and should not be rented until it is completed. Cannot recommend.

Overall the stay was ok. The room overall is smaller than the pics but definitely a good size for a small family. We had a few maintenance issues such as wardrobe come off the hinge, dining chair was broken and couldn’t be used, canvas kept fall due to hook not being stable and then the washing machine would open half way through a cycle and still run. We found this out as we came back and the the water was everywhere including the bedroom which then created a bad smell in there. We notified the Zodiak team of all this and they were extremely responsive in sending someone to clean up and also provided a minor refund to compensate. Obviously out of their control. Location is great and also the view.

Perfect spot with a great view. I was bummed to see used drinking cups with bugs in it with the cabinets. Also alot of crumbs in the toaster was off putting. Overall great place. Im sure just a bad cleaning sub contractor had an off cleaning. Told the host, Im sure they’ll make sure the cleaning company does their job the rite way nx time.

Don’t overlook the key pick up situation, which is a 15 min walk from the actual unit. Not fun when carrying luggage after a long journey and they forget to include the unit entry card in the lockbox. Fortunately Stefan’s team is quite responsive and sorted it out rather quickly. The accommodations were basic, beds were comfortable, however, the rooms could use some deep cleaning. It’s otherwise in a great location with amazing views.

Never stated that we wouldn’t be able to access the pool because it was a weekend and hotel staff weren’t available to register our key. The host hadn’t programmed the key to gain access to the pool prior to our stay. Apartment itself was good.

We're sorry if you missed the section on the listing that says: "The facilities in the building may be closed or have certain requirements for use at the time of your stay. Please inquire before booking if the facilities are a main factor for your accommodation choice so we can check the current rules with the building." Currently vaccination passes need to be checked in person by building management who are on-site during regular office hours so it's not possible to have our keys programmed in advance for our guests. Unfortunately as your booking came in last minute and your stay was only for the weekend this wasn't possible but if you'd let us know before booking we would have mentioned this so you could find alternative accommodation if desired. We're glad you enjoyed the apartment despite this!
