Central One Bedroom Auckland Apartment

So helpful and responsive and a beautiful location that's close to everything! Only annoying thing, which is definitely made clear before booking, was I ended up having to get a taxi from the key pick up to the flat as was too long to walk with big bags.

The apartment itself was good, however I’ve never had such a difficult experience booking a place. My full payment went through, however, I was made to fill out multiple forms/agreements. It felt very excessive. I also was hit with a huge security deposit that is not mentioned in the booking. So be willing to pay an extra $250. I also had to remind the host to release said security deposit. I wasn’t even talking directly to the host for the most part, so it started to feel a bit dodgy on their end. The lockbox is also a long way away from the apartment, so if you have big bags I recommend to Uber. I am really disappointed with how stressful it made my trip to Auckland, not a good experience but the place was good location and space. So it’s worth the money you pay but not when you add the stress caused by it :(

Jammer dat de WiFi niet werkte, en ook die avond niet meer aan de gang ging. De apparatuur lag los, en van stroom af in de slaapkamerkast. De twee stoelen en het kleine tafeltje waren allemaal stuk, dus de balkonstoelen binnen gezet, niet ideaal! Was rekje buiten op balkon viel in 3 delen uit elkaar, dus eigenlijk niet bruikbaar.

As others have said key location is a little further out so bear this in mind with heavy bags! Some things in the house broken (eg chair & coffee table) but otherwise a clean home & great location. Would stay again.

The apartment was supposed to be ready at 3pm. However, the cleaners were not finished until 4pm. Very disappointed in check-in process. It’s ironic because if a tenant is late during check-out, then they are charged $50. However, when the management company is late for check-in, there are no ramifications. Moreover, they required me to sign an additional agreement with strict terms and required personal information.

Excellent communication both on the check-in and check-out. The apartment is well located, with suitable space and equipment. Just to mention the lack of juice and wine glasses, everything else is ok.

The location is good but be warned the apartment is not very well kept. It smelled like feet, the couch was ripped, the bathroom door knob was broken, the toilet stopped working at one point (was an easy fix we could do ourselves at least), the shower head is partially broken so that it leaks and has very minimal pressure, and the list goes on. The key must also be retrieved a 10 min drive from the Airbnb itself. The building was also difficult to locate (it’s behind the building at the listed address) and there was no guidance on parking, which is not offered on site. That said, it wasn’t so gross that it was untenable and the location was decent. Should be listed at a lower price and with clearer instruction.

Lovely place to stay. Rather loud at night. Full humming sound in the bedroom that doesn’t go away and is very loud at times. Awesome location and cheap on street parking if you can get any. Kitchen has everything

Perfect, quiet and well located. Due to lockdown we ended up “stuck” here for 7 weeks, but for any shorter stay or with more freedom to come and go as you please this is a perfect city apartment to stay in.

I was extremely disappointed with this airbnb. The apartment was super smelly and dirty, there was blood on the floor, hair all over the bed and pillows, the couch had large rips, the walls were covered in dirt & scrape marks, the shower drain was broken and had hair and black mould in it which caused the smell. The dishwasher had rotten food that was left inside. I also expected better basics in the kitchen such as salt and pepper, all pots in the cupboard looked dirty and rusty and there wasn’t any cleaning supplies in the apartment.

Hi Mirella, thank you for letting us know your feedback once you had checked in so we could investigate these issues with our cleaners. We had allowed you to cancel for a full refund right away when you had brought these to our attention but this wasn't mentioned in your review. The "blood" on the floor was actually a red paint stain the size of a pin - this would not come out even after a thorough clean. We were also not able to see the hair you mentioned over the bedding. Nevertheless, our cleaners did a thorough clean after you left and we will ensure they maintain a high standard for all future bookings. We have replaced the pots and pans and will replace the couch also. Unfortunately when allowing guests into your home, there is bound to be wear and tear over time such as scrape marks on the walls from suitcases and damage to furniture. Again, we are sorry that this was your experience in the apartment but we appreciate you providing feedback so that we can make the apartment better for our future guests.

Disappointing. There was dark black mold in the bottom edges of the shower, which is a concern. Couldn’t see any other major cleaning issues, but hard to say for sure if the cleaners missed the mold enough for it to be growing that much! I generally cook for myself when away, but there wasn’t even enough kitchen essentials (like oil, salt, pepper) to do this. At this price level in this location I expect better basics in the kitchen, and milk to get me started. Long life milk is not fit for adding to anything! Overall it’s modern, but the lack of essentials or any extra touches that so many others provide made this place feel stingy and unwelcoming.

It's such a good place. They have almost things we need during stay but there are a little amenities. We needed more actually!!! And kitchen appliances were kinda dirty. You have to wash them when you wanna use them.

The apartment is in a great place around the corner from K road with many restaurants and cafes and only a short 5-10min walk to the main Ponsonby strip. It was also very quiet as it is a modern building that is well insulated. Was an overall fairly good stay.

This space is small, but bright and modern. It feels very much like a trendy hotel in Central Auckland. The location is perfect - about a 20 minute walk to the Viaduct Basin where there are many restaurants and lots of shopping. Parking is not included and we had to find our own - we found a lot about a 30 minute walk away for $22 for two and a half days. The space itself is clean, but lacks a personal touch. Overall we had an awesome stay, Stefan and his team were great, friendly, and communicative. Thanks for an amazing stay!

We stayed here for one week in January 2019. We were very pleased with our experience. Positives: The location of the aparment is excellent to walk anywhere in the CBD and close to the bus in case you need it. I found the aparment a bit small for two people, but my gf thought the size was perfect, so no issues there. The utensils provided for the kitchen were great, we lacked nothing during our stay. The bathroom had a good size and was quite clean. The room is great and the bed is quite comfortable. We had a late check-in and the agency offered a good solution (although a bit expensive). For improvement: There is a lot of construction going on around the aparment, which makes access a bit inconvenient and the mornings can get noisy. The apartment has no air conditioning, so we had to make do with fans. Some of the furniture was "falling apart", but the agency indicated they would resolve this. The closet is quite small and it is full of extra items needed for longer-term stays, but our stay was short enough for this not to be a big issue. We requested a late check-out and the agency confirmed via the app, but the cleaners still arrived early, which was a bit uncomfortable. In general: Our experience was mostly positive in the apartment. It is quite comfortable and has a great location. The support from the host agency was quite adequate and timely. We would definitely recommend it to others and would consider it for our next visit to Auckland.
